INTELLIGENT LIFE

My King Features Syndicate comic strip "Intelligent Life" is distributed worldwide to newspapers/online and revolves around
the personal life, the work life, the hobbies and obsessions of Skip, Gwen, Mike and Barry, who very much exist in the world of geek/pop culture, and it gives us a good laugh as we nod knowingly at their antics.

BLONDIE
In addition to creating Intelligent Life daily, I also work as an artist on the BLONDIE team, as assistant to head Blondie artist John Marshall and Blondie writer Dean Young. I draw 3 dailies per week, while John Marshall draws 3 dailies and all Sundays. Below are a few samples of the strips I've drawn!
GARFIELD

For 13 years (2004-2017) I work for the Garfield studio as an assistant to Jim Davis (creator of Garfield)!
I've written/drawn for the comic strip, as well as for animation, greeting cards, licensing, etc, and I ran all of Garfield's social media and project managed all apps and digital. FUN!!
This is one of the comics I wrote a few years back...
POPEYE

Happy 90th Birthday, Popeye! As part of Popeye's 90th year, King Features Syndicate is celebrating by having a different cartoonist do one Sunday every week in 2019, and I have the great honor of being one of those cartoonists. Here's a bit more of a sneak peek at a panel of my own comic that I wrote & drew featuring the ol' sailor that will run this year!

THE TREK LIFE

My comic "The Trek Life" that ran for 3 years (2005-2008) at the official Star Trek website, STARTREK.COM for Paramount Pictures and CBS Studios! The Trek Life was widely distributed and published in IDW Publishing's Star Trek comic books, in every issue of the official Star Trek magazine, as manga in Tokyopop's Star Trek manga, and as part of CBS mobile and the UK's ROK Media, and had it's own store at STARTREK.COM! The Trek Life had about 20 million worldwide pageviews per month!
This particular strip was framed and presented to the wife of James Doohan at the ceremony before his ashes were launched into space, and George Takei ran it on his Facebook page in 2012 for Mr. Doohan's birthday.

OFFICIAL LICENSED STAR TREK COMICS

I created a series of officially licensed Star Trek comic strips for sale as fine prints to collectors for Lightspeed Fine Art in California a few years back.
These were an absolute BLAST to do.
Many of these giclee prints were signed by the original actors.

REDDICK'S RHETORIC

I created a daily single-panel cartoon called "Reddick's Rhetoric" that ran for 6 years in daily newspapers around the country and was distributed through Thomson Newspapers, CNHI Newspapers and Artizans Syndicate based out of Canada for 6 years, when I was a staff cartoonist for a daily newspaper.
You can still get a book collecting the best of these cartoons (featuring a Foreword by Jim Davis, creator of Garfield) in my Etsy store at: www.etsy.com/shop/ReddickulousArt

EDITORIAL CARTOONS

In spite of my disdain for politics, I was an editorial cartoonist for 6 years for The Herald Bulletin daily newspaper in Indiana, and was distributed through Scripps Howard News Service, Thomson Newspapers, CNHI Newspapers and Artizans Syndicate, and my cartoons were featured in "Best Editorial Cartoons of thee Year" books during these years, as well as "Attack of the Political Cartoonists", among other books.
I also won several State and National Awards.
This particular cartoon, for example, ran the day Bill Clinton was impeached. I always loved Clinton, and hated to see it happen. But I couldn't resist the comparison, in thinking of what he might have seen in the mirror that morning when he got up to brush his teeth.
This cartoon won me a few awards.
